LG and Prada renew their partnership again

LG Electronics, the third biggest handset maker in the world, recently renewed their partner ship with Prada and will be launching a new phone next year. The handset is dubbed as LG 3.0 and will be coming out by sometime early 2012. This piece of news was confirmed by both the companies recently. The two companies will be working together for the phone, design, packaging, user interface, and software. Head of mobile business at LG, Park Jong Seok, said that their working relationship with Prada is pretty unique in terms of success and longetivity. He also said that there isn’t any other company out there who has managed to collaborate with a fashion brand like they have done.

This partnership first started in the year 2006 and the first phone from this house came out in the year 2007. They have made two premium handsets till now and both have been fashion centric phones. The first phone that they made was the first touchscreen mobile phone that the world ever saw.

It will be interesting to see how this phone does in the market. The earlier two handsets have sold pretty well and hence the expectations are high for the next phone too.
